Quick question: Is there a name for this...
« on: November 09, 2008, 03:58:43 AM »
My PT told me that my kneecap doesn't like to move medially because the medial leg muscles are very tight.  Is there a name a name of this situation, or is it just known as having 'tight muscles?' Thank you  :)

Id describe it as 'the tracking is off because the medial structures are tighter than the lateral side'.
1986 - recurrent dislocations of right patella began
1988 - Modified Hauser Procedure
1991 - dislocations started again
2005 to 2007 - 150 dislocations in 2 years - OUCH!!!
June 2007 - new OS, new physio
Oct 2007 - VMO woke up
Mar 2008 - big quads, still dislocating
Apr 2008 - next OS app

Tanyap-
Thank you for your response!  I wanted to know a more correct term so I don't sound like a complete doofus  ;D  Thanks again.
