knee problem.

i seem to have this pain in my knee area around the upper knee cap. i notice it more when i was execrising yesterday i was doing squats my right knee feel weak pain coming from it when i squat too low. i noticed it when i was doing lounges too. there was a few times when i sit in car for awhile not long a hour or 2 my upper part of the knee around the cap hurts i keep rubbing it. it feel better once i straighten out my leg. any suggestion. im going to try to make a appt to talk to knee specialist.there was no trauma to knee that i know off.

This kind of low-grade pain around the kneecap is often related to poor mechanics in the lower limb, putting stress on the kneecap where it is constrained within the groove of the underlying femur bone. Try reading up about patellofemoral syndrome. Also read up about plicae related to the knee. That will give you a starting point for your investigations and questions.

Could this also be tendonitis in the quad tendon?
