reoccuring dislocated anlkes = bad knees
« on: October 30, 2008, 09:45:43 PM »
Hi!
Can anyone help me?  I'm hypermobile but the only place it really shows is in both of my ankles.  I have been dislocating my ankles since around 10 years of age, but it is now starting to REALLY distress me.  All i have to do is tread on uneven ground and be a little distracted, and my ankle will pop out, causing me immense pain.   I often have to get others to 'pop' it back in for me.  And as a 28 year old women, this is not only embarrising but intensly painful.    As it happens apprx every 3 - 4 months, it has gotten to the stage that i just put an ankle strap on and keep going.  It seems to rotate ankles too - i will dislocate one, then the next time the other.  As a result both of my knees are badly damaged - i cant even feel my knee cap in my left leg!

If anyone can give me some advise i would be so grateful as no doctor has helped and i have moved around alot.  I am extremely desperate and worried for my future.

Thanks
