One of my favorite movies is Bend it Like Beckham. I guess it was a very big hit everywhere else except the USA. It's hardly known here, my brother has friends in England who thought I'd enjoy it and sent me the DVD.
I also love the Harry Potter and Lord of the Ring movies.
My favorite cartoon movie is a little known made for TV special called Flight of Dragons. My Mom found a tape of it through a video distributor and got it for me after my knee reconstructive surgery.

My favorite movie of all time is "Gone With The Wind". I could watch it a million times and never get tired of it!
Then my other favorites would be, "Men Of Honor", "Hope Floats", and YaYA Sisterhood with Sandra Bullock.

Because I spent nearly two years in hospital as a child because of a hip injury, I saw nearly every movie made in the 50's and 60's.I love those old movies.....helped me keep my sanity when most of my roomies were old & senile (my doctor thought me too mature to be placed with children...I was 9
) In later years ; however, the movie that really got to me in the past few years is BRIDGES OF MADISON COUNTY. A real tear jerker for those of us that like Meryl possibly made the wrong, safe decision

Prometheus (2012), was so depressing for the audience that to see such an optimistic (if not hilarious) creation of his was extremely unexpected. It's probably a good thing that I found out about the director during the end credits (I tell you, I hadn't prepared at all), otherwise, the film would have been perceived very differently.
