I don't think this thread has been done yet, but I'll bring it up anyhow.  I have quite a few, but my number one favorite I believe is French Kiss...Meg Ryan is my all time favorite actress, she's hilarious.  A Beautiful Mind is up there too, as well as The Life of David Gale and Pay It Forward.  Radio comes out this fall, that could be a good candidate.

Okay, I am all about the 80's!!!
I would have to say that some of the best movies ever made  :) Top Gun, um yummy!!!
:) Footloose, only cause it is sooooo 80's
:)Sound of music(not 80's) but it reminds me of my mama and grandma
:) but maybe the best movie ever would be Grease!!!!! Oh yeah....

Great Thread!!!!!         Jillian

Mine vary depending on the mood.  Generally though, I'm a fan of all kinds of movies.

Comedy:  Mel Brooks' movies (especially the History of the World and Blazing Saddles), and those really stupid movies only guys seem to like (Cannonball Run or Plains, Trains, & Automobiles)

Feel good movies:  The Replacements or Father of the Bride.

Action/Adventure:  Top Gun, The Mummy, The Indiana Jones Trilogy, etc.

Right now, though, my favorite is the one we saw last night:  Pirates of the Caribbean - the Curse of the Black Pearl.  That's a definite "buy" when it comes out on DVD.

Completely forgot about Grease...love that movie.

The last movie I saw in theater was American Wedding.  I liked it better than the first two American Pies.  The comedy was better this time, I thought.

Hi!

I'm a traditional person...My all time favorite is Gone With the Wind" and I love "The Wizard of Oz."

I like no brain movies like comedies (again traditional--Caddyshack, Animal House, Vacation)or Adventure movies like the Die Hards or Gibson/Glover movies whose titles are escapingme right now--or Beverly Hills Cop.)

Actually, my kids know so much molre about movies, I just don't have time to keep up with it all.

Oh man this is always such a hard question for me to answer.  I'd have to say though my all time favorite movie regardless would be A Walk To Remember.  I have yet to get burned out on it.  One night when I couldn't sleep I actually watched it twice right in a row.  It gets me everytime, such a great story, and not to mention, I LOVE Shane West, good actor, good eye candy!!! After seeing that, I'm planning on hitting the theater to see How To Deal, I've heard it's good...wanna see Seabiscuit too!!

Okay comedy movies...Almost anything Adam Sandler, the classic Waterboy, Billy Madison, Happy Gilmore (!!!), Big Daddy, Mr. Deeds, Anger Management (I feel pretty...), they're all hysterical.  I LOVE National Lampoon's Vegas Vacation and Christmas Vacation, those are such a riot.  I also love the Legally Blonde movies!!  And Tommy Boy is great, Chris Farley is so hysterical.

Umm I guess more serious movies...Cruel Intentions (First one not second one!), John Q (I absolutely bawled my eyes out), Harry Potter if those count as more serious kinds of movies!  Mothman Prophecies (Ooooh creepy!)  There are others!

Romance/Romantic Comedies....Sweet Home Alabama, Maid in Manhattan, Sleepless In Seattle, You Got Mail, How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days, The Wedding Planner, Never Been Kissed, basically any chick flick I will love!!

Disney Movies (!!!)...Pocahontas, Lion King, Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella, Aladdin, Fox and the Hound, Little Mermaid, there are more!

Musicals (Last category I swear!!)...Grease, Sound Of Music, Oklahoma, The King and I...again almost any musical I will love!

See I told you, you really shouldn't have asked me this question because I LOVE music and movies and I could go on FOREVER!!  Haha, hopefully people will get some good movie ideas from all the ones I listed!  Around 25 or 30 probably!!  Haha I am a movie fanatic!!

Oooooh.  This is a hard one to answer.

I guess my favorite movie of all time would be Mary Poppins.  I have no idea why, I just love that one.

I saw Seabiscuit yesterday, as I have spent my whole life around horses and also know the Santa Anita Racetrack well, I LOVED it.

I also recently saw Pirates of the Carribean twice.  It is a MUST SEE MOVIE!!!!!  The story line and effects were great and it was wonderful to see how they incorporated stuff from the ride at Disneyland into the movie.

Maybe it's a bloke thing but I am a big fan of the two Hepburns, love Kate 'cause she's so feisty and she really was a stunner when she was young (pre-African Queen!  She and Bogart made a sensational combination of toughness and sheer determination in that one with Robert Morley praying for his "plain" sister as a bit of relief!

The serene beauty of the delightful Audrey is something that transcends generations and eras, put the lady up with Sean Connery in "Robin and Marion" or Rex Harrison in "My Fair Lady" and the absolutely serene beauty that radiated out of her just dominated the screen.

Lauren Bacall was the logical foil for Bogart, still love that tape of her taking the bass note under Bogart and Bing Crosby on Bing's radio show.  That is another really classy lady.

I like scary stuff - Jaws, Silence of the Lambs, the Scream Trilogy, Arachnophobia, Halloween, Candyman, Cape Fear, What Lies Beneath, Aliens, Single White Female, Misery, Psycho (original version).

Comedy - Rush Hour 1 & 2, the American Pie series, Miss Congeniality, My Big Fat Greek Wedding, the Austin Powers series. Yeah, baby.

I like Devil's Advocate, American History X, Leon, The Talented Mr Ripley and Good Will Hunting. Oh, and Memento. Mainly because it was a brilliant film; but a little part of me likes it just because my ex-boyfriend didn't understand it.

One of my favorite movies is Bend it Like Beckham.  I guess it was a very big hit everywhere else except the USA.  It's hardly known here, my brother has friends in England who thought I'd enjoy it and sent me the DVD.

I also love the Harry Potter and Lord of the Ring movies.

My favorite cartoon movie is a little known made for TV special called Flight of Dragons.  My Mom found a tape of it through a video distributor and got it for me after my knee reconstructive surgery.
1999 LR, 2002 ACL/PLC recon, reversal of LR, 2004 ACL revision, 2006 Car accident torn PCL and small fractures resulting in bone chips in my knee.  Torn MCL 3 times.  Wicked screws under IT band and Pes Anserine.  June 2008-Hip Arthroscopy.

Because I spent nearly two years in hospital as a child because of a hip injury, I saw nearly every movie made in the 50's and 60's.I love those old movies.....helped me keep my sanity  when most of my roomies were old & senile (my doctor thought me too mature to be placed with children...I was 9  >:() In later years ; however, the movie that really got to me in the past few years is BRIDGES OF MADISON COUNTY. A real tear jerker for those of us that like Meryl possibly made the wrong, safe decision  :'(.
