Has anyone ever heard of the plugs used to fill the holes drilled in the tibia for an ACL replacement leaking and causing some sort of soft-tissue inflammatory response? I have this huge and painfull bump on my tibia, below the joint line and now my surgeon wants to go in and "...just cut the whole thing out..."!!! Any help?

What would they leak? I had the same thing happen to me but it wasn't caused by anything leaking. Tibia screws can be troublesome and are often removed. I had mine removed and the problem went away. The surgery was quick and easy.
