twisted knee?
« on: October 15, 2008, 04:04:48 PM »
Was playing football (soccer) last week, went up for a header and landed on my feet.  No problem.  however I somehow twisted my left leg just slightly when landing.  So then I was sitting on the ground with my left leg bent (at normal angle).  Something in my knee (just on the outside next to my kneecap) felt like it had twisted out of place.  I had to straighten my leg (this really hurt) and it went back in to place.  a bit sore and weak for an hour or so but after that, fine.  Then yesterday the same thing happened again...(this time getting up from sitting on the floor).  No swelling. Does anyone have any ideas what it might be????! Ever heard of this before?  Thanks for your help!

Pretty classic symptoms for a torn meniscus. That would be my guess.
