Hi

Your knees are the most valuable limb - you should not leave it, and think that the pain will go away - in fact the injury (if there is one) could get more serious in time.

So, you MUST go and see a GP, and maybe a referal to a, Oryhopaedic Consultant is required.

Most definately get it checked out.  Does your team have a doc associated with it?  If so, is it possible to talk to him or her?
