pain behind the knee
« on: August 15, 2008, 03:26:20 AM »
i have been having pain behind my right knee for about a month now. i haven't injured it, its not a bakers cyst or a clot. the pain is dull and throbbing and tight. a few times a day the pain is very sharp and feels like my nerve is been stabbed. i was rushed to hospital with the pain a couple of days ago. they found no clot. doctor says it will go away by itself.

Is this weightbare pain or is the pain there no matter ?

the pain is always there and gets sharp randomly. the pain started out of nothing.
i have no swelling. i had blood tests that didn't show a clot. i have only seen A and E doctor and my gp.

Is it possible it's a bone spur?

Pain behind the knee really does sound like a baker cyst coming on - or you could have had one and didn't know it - it could break on it's own.  Is there / was there any swelling in your ankle?

the doctor said it wasn't a bakers cyst and there is no swelling around ankle.
the pain is now a dull ache. my job is looking after children so im banding and kneelling most of the day.
i worked yesterday and found the pain got worseas the day went on. so i think its related to my work.
