Can anyone lead me to information for a Hinged Prosthesis to replace a failed TKR. The doctor has mentioned this as a way to solve my problem, but I would like to learn more about it so I can be sure he is not just playing another guessing game. Has anyone had this type of prosthesis and can you overextend the knee with it.
I would appreciate any advice you could give. It bothers me when a Doctor recommends something that I cannot find any research on. He also suggested an arthrodesis for my knee but can find no information for an arthreodsis for a knee, only for wrists, ankles. Please help. Is there such a thing or is he inventing it.
