Hi there,

This is not something he will grow out of. Firstly, it is not a proper diagnosis. It refers to patella problems, which need to be treated.

I would urge you to seek out the opinion of a good sports medicine doctor. Where are you based ?

It's probably too far to travel, but there is a fantastic sports medicine clinic in London called Pure Sports Medicine. Their website is www.puresportsmed.com They would be able to point you in the right direction for your son's treatment. The problem is that patella problems are often misdiagnosed and patients are prescribed the wrong treatment. They would probably be able to recommend a good physio in your area. Just some food for thought !

Your son was diagnosed with it around the same time that i was diganosed with that condition in both of my knees. I agree with kjwilkin get him to see a good sports medicine doc and go from there.
I'm so busy that I'm not sure if I lost my horse or just found my lead rope.
