Hi Everyone,

Well, the day has almost come for my right knee operation. I can't believe it is almost here.

Tonight I went to the hydro pool and spent some time in the spa afterwards. So, I feel very relaxed now.

I finished work today and am so glad that I have left. One more thing behind me. This afternoon I had an interview, which I think went well. Tomorrow morning I have another interview. Will be interesting to see how it all goes.

Nick, thanks for the good luck wishes. I have to be at the hospital at 4:30pm tomorrow. So, I imagine I am one of the last on the list. At least I don't have to wait around all afternoon. Hope your knee is doing ok and are still making progress.

Thanks, Lenore. It means a lot to me.

Hi Kirsty,

I hope the surgery went ok for you and was a success and can now live a normal life without too many knee problems. You been so supportive during my knee problems and surgery and enjoy out chats on facebook and even though we never met as we live miles apart you are a good friend of mine and maybe we might meet up for a coffee one day who knows.

I understand if you do not post on KG for a while as you been through some major knee surgery so wont be in the mood to post on KG. I wish you a speedy recovery and hope you are not in too much pain.

Hi Nick & Itigo,

Thanks for your messages.

I have started a new diary. Here is the link, http://www.kneeguru.co.uk/KNEEtalk/index.php?topic=50626.0

The operation went well. It has taken me a while to do an update as I have been in a fair bit of pain.

Hope everyone is doing well. :)

Thought I would let you know how I am getting on.

It's been 6 years since I had the trochleoplasty on my left knee and am doing extremely really well. Best thing I ever did, despite being a different surgery to recover from.

Hi Kirsty,

I has been a fair while since your last update that is always a good sign as it usually means that your knee injury and problems are under control. I am glad that you have finally had a positive outcome.

Your encouraging post and update has encouraged me to carry on trying to get back into competitive long distance running again even if it means I might need a 3rd scope so be it. I know you have had a fair few surgeries on your knees before you had a success.

I know everyone knee problem will be different from the next person, my problem is scar tissue build up that can be controlled as long as I get proper aftercare post op that the NHS has failed to do and know that AF has returned again.

Cut backs on the NHS is not an excuse not to give a patient proper aftercare they deserve and know when you lived in the UK you were not impressed with the NHS so went privately to sort out your knee issues.

Nice to see back on KG again with a more positive post.
