ACL Brace for Mountaineering
« on: April 09, 2008, 01:05:43 AM »

I'm 6 months post op from my ACL patellar graft, reconstruction, also had a meniscectomy for a bucket handle tear almost 12 months ago. (they were related, skiing injury, but OS wanted the quads and the knee movement back to as close to 100% before the ACL reconstruction, so had 5 months normal, just without an ACL).

I'm 23, and wanting to return to hillwalking/mountainteering, cycling, skiing (in a few yrs) and recreational soccer, basketball, tennis, squash etc..  I'm looking for a brace to prevent further injury, and mainly to build initial confidence in returning to sports. I was looking at the DonJoy Female Fource Custom and was pretty set on getting it, then read some threads here and the Ossur CTi looks good too, just wondering if anyone has used the new DJ one and has opinions.
