If I end up paying it will be in the range of 600 euro or so (maybe a little more) - so joanne thats like 400 in sterling is it? Tami - its roughly the same in dollars as euro I think - a little higher - maybe 750 in dollars?.
I dont think I am paying though - spoke to a friend who works in health insurance and he said if no one mentioned money it must be a public appointment (which i dont pay for then).
But if I do pay I will get 41% back off the government next january - if your insurance wont cover you here and you pay privately you are entitled to claim 41% or 21% (depending on which tax bracket you are in) back.

Tanya

This morning when I bend my leg the bottom of the thigh bone (femur) at the right hand side where the "bump" is, it stings. When I press that area - which can on;y be accessed with the leg bent - it stings. It feels like when you graze your skin and it stings and when you touch it , well its all tender.

I have noticed it before but this morning it feels worse with this tenderness and sting. I also am noticing that I am getting pain over the last few days just below my knee cap onto my lower leg...as well as under the knee cap.

I have tired to localise it like you said. Do these areas make sense to you ?

Hi Joanne,
they say pain on the joint line like you describe could be torn meniscus? I wonder if that is it?
Make sure and show that to the OS tomorrow - sometimes we feel pain in specific places but it turns out its just from general internal inflammation and not pointing to anywhere specific. But he will know that - what time are you seeing him at?
