Stiff Leg/Knee Fusion
« on: March 19, 2008, 11:52:06 PM »
I am new to this and am not sure if this is the correct place for me to post but I happened across a conversation about someone having to have a fusion of their knee and having a stiff leg.  I had to have that done and can offer some insight.  I'd like to talk to them.

Dear Lilly,

I also have a knee fusion. Done with a long rod. How are you doing now with your leg? I now drive a car again. It would be nice to hear from you again.

Best regards
Since 2005: wear a legbrace to keep the knee straight. I have suffered from a rare syndrome.
Around 2008: knee is now ankylosed, but not bony fusion yet
December 2009: definite, surgical knee fusion with a long nail
