Does glucosamine/chondritin help tendons?
« on: March 11, 2008, 03:05:12 AM »
Just wondering ... Had knee replacement 2-16-07 and now have patellar tendonosis, which ortho doc says nothing really can be done about except more PT, and the therapist says he's done all he can. So I'm out here hanging in pain by myself. I go to a pain clinic for my arthritis in my back, and the pain doc told me to take glucosamine/chondritin, which I used to take years ago before I had weight-loss surgery; the bariatric folks told me to quit it before surgery (still don't know why). Anyway, I wondered if it would have any effect on the tendon problem, whether it's worth taking.

Thanks.
Eileen
