Am new to this! Having had 2 failed arthroscopies and lateral realeases, this is the latest suggested by my surgeon. Does anyone have experience of this op. What can be expected from post surgery recovery? Any help or advice is welcomed!

Hello, i am having a mpfl in the next 3 weeks just waiting for date of op, my surgeon has pioneered a new technique which is highly successful and has a higher success rate than previous methods, ive been informed i wont be able to drive for between 2 and 6 weeks, then recovery there after is between 3 to 6 months depending on how much effort i put in, they will get me mobile on the day of the op, no plaster cast or heavy brace. Hope that helps a little
