problem knee (advice please)
« on: February 06, 2008, 10:04:30 AM »
My knee has been causing me problems for months now, i,ve tried resting for a period of up to a month, which helps somewhat but as soon as i start training again the problem returns.  The problem started after a sparring session in a martial arts class, it did not hurt however until the following morning.  The knee in question is bigger than the other and does not straighten properly.  During classes my leg is used to pivot frequently whilst kicking out with the other leg, it is the leg used for pivoting that hurts, when i tried switching legs to give it a rest my coordination was not so good, hence missed my target resulting in my leg being forced to straighten which really hurt.

Anyone have any ideas what's wrong with it, i have seen a doctor but he didn't offer much help except physio which I have  wait months for.

Thanks for advice Jan but sadly having waited 3 months to see a doctor the last time I am reluctant to make another appointment, if only i could afford to go private.
