A Breakthrough on Tibia nail !!
« on: January 30, 2008, 03:29:21 PM »
I thought I would let you know that finally I might get somewhere with my knee and whatever is causing all the pain and whether the nail is too long or not.
I saw my own doctor today and asked to be referred to another hospital to see a knee specialist. After hearing my story he agreed that in my position he would want the same but that under our health service here it was likely to take a long time. He said to go for a private consultation just to get the opinion and that this would speed everything up. Did I have any medical insurance he asked as an aside? I then explained that my husband started a new job last week and medical insurance came free for the whole family but that I doubted they would cover me. I rang the private health co...Guess what>?? They are prepared to pay for my knee even though they only put me on their computer yesterday...all pre existing conditions are covered so finally I will find out whats wrong and hopefully get it sorted!! :-))))))))
I am to see a Professor who only specialises in knees and he has no links to the other hospital..Watch this space! I shall let you know how I get on and thank you every one for your support.
