This was me at my last birthday   :)  and also happens to be the next number in line.

Liz, I remember the reason for starting this thread, besides testing my math skills, and it just isn't working.  I still feel like a worthless slug.  :P  Maybe I need to post more??  Will spending more time on this site and posting more frequently make me feel like I am being productive and a contributing member of society??   ::)  Help me out here..........I am bored to  :'(

A good number, the day my birthday falls on.

Also awarding 17 bonus point to Patty, for realising that there are some people who do feel valued and believe that they're making a difference here.

Take my own situation, spent upwards of 20 years working in big retail outlets and a huge call centre, never less than 400 people. Most of that time spent in management positions so spent the majority of my time talking to people, encouraging, sympathising, or kicking butt if needed.

To move out here in the middle of the prairies, where I'm chief homemaker, part time tractor driver, book keeper, head combine driver and calf rearer, is a shock. I love living out here, but it's a province of 251, 700 square miles and only 985,386 people. That means on the rare times when we can afford the time and money to be away from the farm, there aren't many people about.

It may not be for everyone, but when you're in a new country, with no family here, still building a network of friends, and you don't have to be in the workplace, it feels great to be part of a community, and to interact frequently with people. It's insightful of you to realise this

I also have no life,  did some research on this one and it apparently is a big numerology thing

Shakespeare was born and died on the 23rd

There are 23 characters on the face of US coins

It takes 23 seconds for blood to circulate through the body

And lastly, it is a prime number and if you add the 2 and 3 you get another prime number:   5

Jeez, I spend days figuring out what number comes next and Diana posts the answer before I can.  :'(  ;)  Luckily my math and counting tutor was readily accessible and I was able to cheat figure out what the next number is:

(This is one that I have never been lost interstating on  ;D)

24 is a nonagonal number and is the smallest number with exactly 8 divisors: 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, 12 and 24.
The product of any 4 consecutive numbers is divisible by 24.
24 is the number that Willie Mays wore.
24 is the atomic number of chromium......which is a component of the metal in several brands of TKA components.
24 is the number of bits that a computer needs to represent truecolor images.
Pure gold is 24 carats.
The Greek alphabet has 24 characters.
24 is considered an unlucky number in Cantonese culture because its pronounication is similar to that of "easy to die".
And of course, 24 is the numbers of hours that one can waste in one day.  ::)
