Numbers.........What comes next??
« on: December 09, 2007, 07:16:08 PM »
I have absolutely no life right now, so I thought I would start a thread that would be easy for me to participate in.  I am hoping that Liz will jump in here and that she will also provide some help for me when required.

Okay, I am going to start with 1.  Although maybe I should start with 0???  Oh heck, it is my thread and I choose to start with 1.  Next??  ;D

Jeez, my twin is already trying to confuse me.  TVÅ is not a number, it is an acronym for Tennessee Valley Authority.  So, now do I reply with a number, an acronym, or both?   ???  Why does everything have to be so difficult?  :P

My reply, with no help from the math whiz, is 3.  Whew, I can tell that things are going to get difficult for me, very quickly.  ;D

According to my mathematical genius, and the spreadsheet I'll need to maintain to keep track, :P  the next number in the sequence is .

And, given that Trouble has decided to ratchet up the challenge by turning this also into a spelling lesson, in MY language, that is FOUR. WHEW!!

Patty, Trouble, Liz, Rozzzie, Kat, Tiff and Anja?  Beth?

Please see above.......

And of course here in NV, that would be   We have no need for 8 - 10 here.  :)

Hey, Hey...way to go, number 8!

And three cheers... or should we bestow nine cheers :-\ ...for nimble number who is always ready to step up in a pinch and play surrogate to that slouch, number 6.    :'(

How's that for talent? Thanks number NINE for your valuable contribution!!

According to my extensive research, next up is

And a big pat on the back to the number 1, for having the fortitude and guts to break that single cycle and take a partner, the number 0.......that I probably should have started this thread with.   :P  As a reward for going against the grain, 10 is considered the pinnacle.........things are rated on a scale of 1 - 10, with 10 being the best you can achieve.

If it weren't for the bravery of the number 1, we would be stuck with only 10 numbers and Bo Derek would have been only a 9.  Although she isn't even a 1 in my book.......in my book, this guy is a 10.

On a side note, 10 is the number I always wore when playing sports.........in honor of my favorite 10 Fran Tarkenton.   :)

OK, first the Swede tries to confuse me, and very nearly succeeds, and now the Canuck has come to her aid.  :P  I do not speak Canuckian  ;), so honestly don't know what Sue's answer was, so Sue, if I am duplicating your answer..........I apologize.  :)

The next number is   And once again, I have to give props to the number 1.  The number 1 is not only willing to go against the grain (see my previous post), but is also a very hard worker, pulling double duty here.  I have always admired those that are more than willing to do their share of work and to go out of their way to make a solid contribution to society.  Number 1, my hat's off to you.......
