HI! I am new to the site, but have been reading it for a few months. March 7, 2007, I fell from a ladder and now I have 8 screws and 2 plates in my right leg. I am having trouble with swelling, pain and nerves in that leg. I also broke my ankle, even though I complained from day one, it took 3 months for them to tell me, ya it was broke. I see the doctor again on 10-11-07 but do not know what to expect. He said that my ACL is stretched and people can live with that. I am having trouble just doing everyday things, walking very far, driving and its just depressing. I tried to go to work in Sept.(in a prison), I made it a week and now I am back on disability. This week my leg bent back and now there is a burning sensation going down the inside on my leg from a little above the knee down past my ankle. As long as I wear the brace he gave me the nerves jumping(driving me crazy)do not act up as bad. The medication I was giving for this does not help. I don't know the what thename of the long nerve that runs from my knee to the inside of my ankle is called but has hardly any feeling. Has any body else had these problems and would you have any suggestions. I am getting really depressed due to the fact it seems this has ruined me forever, everything I enjoy, I can't do. The doctor I have is very smart but its also rush, rush, rush. Any comments or suggestions would really be appreciated.
