Brilliant, I want one. I'm still worried that if I need surgery it willl end up being winter time, and we will have snow and ice about, thats anywhen from November to March, so would lessen the danger of falling over!

hi, why is it one step forward and two steps back,
i fell this morning and now my knee is swelling nicely and pain along the medial side (OUCH)

How are you doing now, have you recovered from the fall, or did you go and get some help?

hi y'all
i didnt go to a+e, it calmed down throughout the day, but when i fell, it suddendly hit me of what i think is the cause of my knee problems......
when i fell yesterday i had that all too familiar feeling of my knee trying to pop out of joint...(but it didnt)
and when i had my injury 26 weeks ago i think my knee did dislocate and never went back...
it has been happening to me for years, but its always gone back into place so i never bothered anybody about it...
anyway with this im going to mention it at pain clininc next week and see what happens

you think it might be dislocated?
can you go for an x-ray to check that?
im glad its calmed down for you for the moment, but you definitely need to see an OS.

when did you have your arthoscopy? If it was dislocated wouldnt the surgeon have noticed that while he was in there?
Can you see your kneecap? Its not slipped right out of the groove has it?

no - theres no definition - you cant see bones at all - expecially compared to the other side.
if you feel around it yourself can you feel the outline of the underlying bone structure?

i can feel a little of the bone, but comparing them to each other the major difference is the groove on my right knee, what is it in my left knee thats preventing that groove, there is obviously something in there, its hard to touch

I'm glad to hear that you've recovered from the fall, physically anyway, but sorry to hear that you;ve lost confidence, it's probably best to get all the up to date info tomorrow, then go from there. Keeping fingers crossed that they give you the thumbs up, and then you may feel a bit more confident to venture forth again...................................I'll fetch the over size baby walker to you ;D ;D ;D
