TTT with hamstring wrap????
« on: August 03, 2007, 12:46:43 PM »
Hi everyone, this is the first time i have used the site so here goes...
Basically i have had a dislocating right knee since the age of 9 and have now done it 5times. I had a TTT 3.5months ago which is abit sore but no other problems and you can visibly see its in a better position. However, the surgeon also pulled one of my hamstrings around my patella and pinned it in place with what looks like a black and decker drill head. It is massive. Anyway, i was wondering if anyone else has heard of this, had it done, and what experiences they had and are still having with it. My physio has never heard of the hamstring being used not even to help hypermobile people (which i am) to keep the bones from trying to get back to their original position and now i'm getting worried i've opted for some kind of rogue procedure. We are also trying to work out why my i can bring my foot up to my face and my other hamstrings are not kicking in to prevent this as they should. help!!
