The Maquet TTT procedure
« on: September 18, 2002, 06:49:16 AM »
My OS said that would be a future option, though he wouldn't be doing it (he doesn't do osteotomies, prefers to focus on other types of procedures) and didn't particularly recommend it at this time.  That's because I've 'not responded well' to previous surgeries....he just said that's usually the next step after LR fails to resolve pain and physical limitations.

The one he said would probably be appropriate was a modified Maquet procedure.  I don't hear too much about these, but he said that was the one he thought would be best because it would elevate my patella and get some of the pressure off of it.

He was in no way recommending this right now, and I wouldn't do it...I don't think.  Sometimes the pain gets so bad you'd do anything.....

Anyway, I was just wondering who out there has had the Maquet procedure and how things went.
