Meniscus tear, marrow edema, Osteochondral defect = surgery ???

Hello-
New to board
Question _
Knee pain for four months, just got my MRI results today and I
see the surgeon next week-
Am I a surgical candiate ?
1. Tear of medial meniscus 2x
2, marrow edema on the entire femoral condyle.
3. Cartilage thinning
4. 10 mm Osteochondral defect on weight bearing surface of femoral
4. Significant knee effusion
5. Ganglion associated with two meniscus tears

You probably need some kind of surgery would be my guess. But I am just a fellow kneesufferer like you.
The ganglion is probably caused by meniscus tears and once they are taken care of the ganglion will disappear.
