Falls after TKR
« on: July 09, 2007, 06:47:41 PM »
Hi!

I was wondering if anyone else has had a bad fall and landed on their replaced knee?  I just had this happen on Sunday.  Got out of the pool and kerplunk! All my weight landed on the new knee.  I have been icing it but have had to be on it almost every minute since it happened.  It feels tender, is pretty bruised but I can certainly walk on it.  In fact the pain/tingling etc comes when I sit down.  Anyone????

Thanks,

L

If it were me I'd have my doctor take an x-ray. No sense taking chances.

I just made an appt. for Wed because he's full today and out tomorrow.  I was just curious to see if anyone else had this experience and how it turned out for them.

Thanks,

L
