Should I go back to the doctor??
« on: July 09, 2007, 06:05:33 PM »
I had an MRI over a month and a half ago after falling on my knee. The doctor read the report to me and said I have fluid and some blood
trapped in my joint and just gave me some meds and exercises to do. Well I have been doing those things since then and I am still in pain.
If I bend my knee in my sleep in the night it KILLS me. :(

Should I call back and make an appointment? My knee is really becoming a pain.  :'(

If you have bone bruising that could take a very long time to heal. Can you walk fairly normal ?
Surgery 6 times left knee torn meniscus, RSDS,chondromalacia, nervdamage cause constant nervpain, chronic inflamm.
Spinaldamage wheeler 100%.
Right knee damaged aug-06, use brace surgery 4/9-07.LCL tear.

Honestly, I am a firm believer in getting the Dr. involved.  That's what he's/she's there for.  It's true that you have to be patient and just wait to heal but, it's better to know that than to do nothing.  I say make an appointment!

I agree with Blitzy...the worst part of an injury is the not knowing.  Even if he says there is still nothing you can do, at least you will know.  Ask if there are any exercises you can do that might help that may help with stiffness ect
good luck!
