knee problem, might be a mcl sprain! help!!
« on: July 09, 2007, 05:56:16 AM »
for about four months now i have had this pain on the inside of my knee, at first i just thought it was maybe overuse, but being 22 and stupid i decided that i would be ok and fight the pain, since most of the time when i have a problem it just goes away, but this has been the first one to be cronic.  just a week ago i told myself i was going to take two weeks off in order to see results.  i am a runner, road biker, and soccer player and love exercise so the wait is killing me.  i noticed the pain flare up while running one day in a park, while training for a marathon, and about five day later i ran a half-marathon.  since i about four months i have not been in horrible pain but just enough to get on my nerves...i am not very flexible and have often pondered if by me not being pliable, like can touch my toes, may have an effect on my knees.  overwise to touch the knee at time has been painful but over times no!  i dont know if the running was as bad as the soccer but not sure!  have not seen a doctor just because i feel he or she will the me what i know now!  someone on the net help please!

Would be good if you more could pinpoint the pain. As exactly on inside that is for example jointline pain ?
Also how does the pain feel sharp throbbing ? Does squatting make that worse or going in stairs ?
Do you have pain when you sit in one spot ? Have you had any accident ?

Hi K Waldon,

You don't trust a doctor to help you with a diagnosis, but you trust a bunch of strangers, without medical degrees, to help??  I am sorry but that just doesn't make much sense to me.  If your knee is bothering you and you want a diagnosis......see a doctor (preferably a knee specialist), they are the only ones that can give you an accurate diagnosis.

Good luck.

Patty

I agree with Patty to fully, why not see a doc ?
I think I weren't awake to fully this morning when I did answer you. LOL
