When do you see the OS next time ? Can you yet straighten your knee or are you still locked at 20 ?
Surgery 6 times left knee torn meniscus, RSDS,chondromalacia, nervdamage cause constant nervpain, chronic inflamm.
Spinaldamage wheeler 100%.
Right knee damaged aug-06, use brace surgery 4/9-07.LCL tear.

Friendsfan,

With the current state of your knee, it is probably best to stick with the crutches. I used crutches for a significantly longer time period and iI'm well aware of what a pain in the neck they are, however a far worse situation could be created if you were to fall and injure yourself further. Stick with the crutches until you see your OS and get a definitive diagnosis.

Take care,

Jaci

Stick with the crutches, I know it's a  pain but why get used to walking with the fixed leg? I spent a long time on crutches as well while trying to get something done about my knee, I did at least have some movement even if limited so I don't envy your position. Hang on until you see the OS at least it 's only a couple of weeks and you've put up with them for this long already.
18/06/05 Injured trampolining
Fixed Flexion 20-90 deg until...
01/09/05 lateral meniscectomy (40%)
09/06/06 Patella tendon aclr
09/09/06 Back on the tramp (carefully)
10 years on and still going strong
!!Stop twisting when you land or it hurts!!

stay on the crutches. i know its very difficult for you but throwing away the crutches now is like youre deciding no more change is going to happen!!
charliemouse is right - why get used to walking with the fixed leg.
youre going to see youre OS next week - stick it out until then at least.
your PT is giving you good advice, she is trying to stop you from doing further damage to yourself.
1986 - recurrent dislocations of right patella began
1988 - Modified Hauser Procedure
1991 - dislocations started again
2005 to 2007 - 150 dislocations in 2 years - OUCH!!!
June 2007 - new OS, new physio
Oct 2007 - VMO woke up
Mar 2008 - big quads, still dislocating
Apr 2008 - next OS app
