OS visit was today..surgery..you won't believe when
« on: June 20, 2007, 09:11:25 PM »
So I go to my first OS appointment today. Some of you may remember that I was concerned because my husband is deploying in th enext few months and I really don't want to go through surgery with him gone. So I mentioned this to the OS along with the fact that I wanted to get a scope to really get a better evaluation of what's going on with my knee. He says so Thursday or Friday..I'm like yeah that would be great. He wanted another x-ray done because the xrays I had done on base didn't turn out that great. Well, that xray and my mri confirmed that I do indeed have a lateral patellar tilt. So I am getting a lateral release and possibly some meniscus & fat pad shaving done at 2pm TOMORROW!!!!!!!!!!!!   :o

Wish me luck!! At least my hubby will be with me!!

Good luck with surgery.  I guess it's great that you are able to get into surgery so quickly, but you don't have a lot of time to mentally prepare.  Take it easy tonight, and tomorrow you will be on your road to recovery.
