Go figure
« on: June 11, 2007, 08:26:22 PM »
I have tricompartmental grade 3-4 arthritis and severe patella femoral syndrome.  My knee has been in flare up mode the past three weeks.  I am scheduled to start synvesc injections tomorrow. I have been wearing my pto knee brace from 7:am until returning home from work at about 5:00.  Today, I did not have to wear my knee brace and my knee feels pretty good.  Pain is only at about a 3 or 4 which is pretty much background noise for me.  I feel as if I am a car that makes a noise until you bring it to the mechanic to be checked out!

By the time l left work, my knee was not happy wiith me.  Driving home, I started to get sharp pains on both sides of the knee cap but mainly the insde.  While doing straift leg lifts without extra weights, my kne cap grinded bone over bone which sent a very noticeable pain through the body.  It doubled me over for a few seconds.

I had my first synvesc injection today.  It really was not that bad at all.  The doctor numbed the surface area, then injected a numbing agent and using the same needle, injected the synvesc.
