Sudden knee pain, please help
« on: May 10, 2007, 08:21:06 AM »
I had a knee operation in October last year after quite a severe injury. Since then my knee has been healing very nicely. I have been training to strengthen the muscles and all seemed to improve greatly. However, yesterday I was walking and I suddenly had a very sharp pain on the left side of my knee and it sewlled up. My leg didnt give in or anything, just the sharp pain. It has been painful to walk on it since then.

Any idea what could have caused this? My previous injury was in the right knee - a dislocated knee cap, torn ligament, cartilage dammage and broken and bruised bone that was not picked up by my docotr until 3 mothns lafter the injury.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

If you haven't been out for something more that can be scar tissue breaking up. Try ice and elevate for some days.
If that doesn't help or you get worse, never wrong to pick up phone and just ask.
Surgery 6 times left knee torn meniscus, RSDS,chondromalacia, nervdamage cause constant nervpain, chronic inflamm.
Spinaldamage wheeler 100%.
Right knee damaged aug-06, use brace surgery 4/9-07.LCL tear.
