Hi and thanks for responding.
at the time, my foot and ankle were very swollen. now, it just feels like it is swollen all the time. No medications like lodine or naproxen or motrin or aspirin have heloed any. I just got back from the PT and they are still working, havent given up hope, but they still dont really have a diagnosis. She said that it is probably ITBS, but the calf pain isnt usually a symptom. i also found a lump on my outer thigh, but the PT said that it just where i tore some tissue. it is getting a little bigger and now is kinds sore when it is pressed on. my foot goes numb a lot. and also, a strange symptom, my left leg with the bad knee, is always or usually cold. my pt noticed that today and she showed some concern but didnt say anything about it. it is cold whenever there is pain. what exactly is an EMG test and what do they do. i will google it and see what info i can come up with. has anyone ever had one done??

thanks so,
this website and everyone on it is a lifesaver!!!

No, they have not checked for a cyst. I guess that i will ask my PT to check for one. do you think that a PT is capable of finding/diagnosing one?

thanks so much,
jak

from the symptoms you have explained.. it could be cyst, (but im not a professional lol) but i would ask your PT if they are capable of checking, if not, feel free to call your OS and ask what they think and see if they could check.
