swelling in knee, ankle, and toes

I had a scope about a year and half ago with a suspicion of a torn meniscus.  They found a lot of scar tissue on the ACL that was causing the pain (impingement) and arthritis under the patella which he said he smoothed out.  Whenever I'm active for periods of time the knee, ankle and toes will swell.  They will return to normal when I elevate my leg. I returned to the doctor who believes it's all related to my arthritis.  My ankles and toes are not arthritic according to testing and this problem has only occurred since my surgery.  Has anyone had similar problems?  Any suggestions?

If you knee swell due to arthritis then nothing weird that your toes and ankle swells too.
Uncommon to just have swelling in the knee.
Have you tried ice and elevating together ? Ankle pumps is good against swelling.

The swelling in your ankle and toes is due to gravity. If you're standing up the fluid in your knee is going to move downward. This is why it goes away when you elevate your leg.
