Has anyone had bi-lateral scopes?  How long before you were on your feet without crutches?

I had bi-lateral scopes 5 weeks ago.

I was able to stand and hobble about short distances the very next day, which I was really surprised about! I found that I only needed the crutches for the first couple of days, although this was mainly for confidence and to help me up stairs, off chairs, the loo etc, but I was weight bearing straight away. I was able to gladly hand my crutches back after 1 week, but I hadn't used them at all for the last few days.

If you have any other questions let me know, be happy to help as I found it difficult to get much specific advice on this procedure before I had mine done.

Bi-lateral anthroscopy on 09.03.07 - severe damage to both knees.
Diagnosed with Osteo-arthritis in January '08 - advanced in right knee and beginning to spread to hip.
