Hey Baseball Canada..
I have an ACL injury but no surgery as of yet... I wear a BReg FUSION brace... and needed it alot when I first got injured but don't wear it so much anymore. It's a semi custom and I really like it, it's comfortable and stays in place.

Goodluck with the recovery

I didn't wear mine after surgery.  BUT I don't participate in competitive sports.  My recovery to "full steam aheard" was about 3 months.

I would discuss this issue with your surgeon.  The surgeons I work for don't use braces at all.  Since volleyball is relatively non-contact you should be fine without a brace as long as your muscles are quite strong and your proprioception is good.
