post op complete meniscectomy still worried!
« on: April 12, 2007, 04:54:57 AM »
3 weeks post op today and my ankle is swollen and bruised. My back of my calf is rock hard and new bruises pop up every other day. Saw OS last week he said it was because of the lack of tissue in the knee to absorb the swelling. What do you all think? Walking is painful because of the calf that is sooo tight. Is this all sounding normal to all of you with knee knowledge?   :-\

Could be just lots of residual swelling but I wouldn't rule out a blood clot in your calf.  Best to have it checked out ASAP.
