Knee problems
« on: April 12, 2007, 02:21:41 AM »
Well about 2 years ago i hurt my knee in a basketball game (when i was 15). I jumped up to catch a pass and when i landed my right knee like gave out, it "popped" out in the inward direction. So i went to the docs the next day with a very swollen knee, and i could not bear weigth. So they said i dislocated my kneecap or something , i dont remember. And they never reccomended pysical therapy or anything. I was in a knee immobilizer for over a week. And it was okay for a few months and recently it has been "popping out" about once a week (it goes back into place by itself). But it still sucks. Also it always cracks really loud etc. And once in a while it feals like im walking bone on bone. Cuold be a problem. Has anyone had something like this happen. My mom still needs to call the orthopedics....

Ashley, you need to sort this out by going to a OS. Dislocation after dislocation can lead to cartilage damage and a early worn out knee and since you are very young that needs to be checked.
Could be so that you only need physical therapy to strenghten your muscles.
Surgery 6 times left knee torn meniscus, RSDS,chondromalacia, nervdamage cause constant nervpain, chronic inflamm.
Spinaldamage wheeler 100%.
Right knee damaged aug-06, use brace surgery 4/9-07.LCL tear.
