Nick,

I think you should see a specialist who has more experience with knees than a GP would have.  If you don't know one see if you can get a recommendation from your GP's office.  In the meantime, rest, ice, and evelvate your knee!

Good luck, and hope you feel better soon,

Are you in the United Kingdom?† From what I understand it is not easy to get the care you need for knees there. :P† I cannot† overemphasize how important it is to get knee problems evaluated early.† There are so many things that can be done if you get diagnosed early.† If you have a problem and you wait you can cause more trouble than you can imagine.†

I donít know if you can get to a sports medicine orthopeadic surgeon† but that would be my suggestion for best help with knees.† If you know any coaches for pro teams or university teams† 8) I would check with them to see who they use for team injuries and physical therapy.† You may have only a slight injury that would require basically nothing but ice and rest OR you could have just as easily done some big time damage

I would whine and cry :'(† and bother that MD until he/she referred me for further evaluation and I do† mean aggravate the daylights out of them.
