Hi my name is Billy and I would like to say that after having a meniscus transplant in november of 2005 all is well at this time. I would like to thank all whom gave me advice with some great postings. A little story on what is going on with my running. I started training last june 1st with just running 100 meters. as of today I am running no less than 52 minutes a day. with 60% of my days being double workouts. I have raced once in a 5k and finished 1st in the 50-54 division in a time of 17:09. I am so pleased and since beginning I have only missed 4 days of running. I have committed to the Las Vegas marathon on dec. 2nd and am looking for a time of 2:40-2:45. I really had little opitions in when I had the transplant. it was either have the knee replaced and never run again, and I could not run on what I had so I went with the transplant. my dr. says I running on a time bomb but I could care less. Its NEVER going to be 100% but I will take 95% at this time.
A little advice to those whom have this transplant DO YOUR EXCERSISES
again thanks to all whom gave me good advice
