« on: March 23, 2007, 10:06:59 AM »
Good day guys,

I have meniscus tear and posterior ACL tear Grade 1, in my left Knee.

It's two months now, and I have light ackes when I bend my knee more than 160 degree.

I am gaining weight because I stopped doing cardio for two months now.

do you know if it's safe to start jogging now?

because I have doing cycling and cant do anything else.

please comment.

thanks

Hi i would consult your OS or a physiotherapist. You might also want to consider a knee brace to give you some stability.  You don't want to risk further damaging your ACL and ACL partial tears take a long, long time to heal. You might also want to be careful with a meniscus tear as it can also be made worse with pounding, especially jogging and running. Maybe you should try a bike or swimming?
