Hot and Swollen?
«
on:

I have been having some pretty bad pain in the back of my knee joint and when I run my hand down the back you can
feel a lump and it is warm and red. Does anyone have a clue as to what this could be? I have not injured it in any way
or had ANY problems.
I was honestly thinking of going to urgent care today but did not. I have been icing like crazy and elevating.
What should I do?

I agree with Donna, you should get it checked out to make sure it's nothing serious and not some sort of infection. Especially since you are not aware of any injury or such to it. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. Please let us know how things are going for you. Take care.

I do not have a fever and urgent care is closed for tonight, but I will be going tomorrow if it does not get better.

Heather,
This sounds like a baker's cyst to me. Your signature shows that you've had one before. Does this feel the same?

My last one in my other knee did not feel as big as this one or as painful.
Its very weird because it suddenly just got huge and started hurting.

I would be more worried about a blood clot. Did you go get checked?

My knee still feels like it has the lump in it. When I walk a lot it gets very painful and larger.
I have been waiting to see if this is going to go away but it has not..so it looks like I will be visiting the doctor tomorrow.
I will try to get pics of my knee tonight so yall can see what I am talking about.
