no feeling in my knee cap?

i fell over a year ago and since then have had no feeling in my knee cap except when i kneel and then feel a sharp pain and now try and avoid doing this at all cost. i been to my doctor 4 times, had an xray and nothing is showing up.
i dont know what else to do or what it could be? does anyone have any adavice or idea what i'v done.

i had an accident over 2 years ago and landed directly on my kneecap.
i had a lot of numbness in my knee initially too and had x rays,ultra sounds,mri etc etc and nothing really was found.
i got more opinions as i knew something was not rgiht.
i then had an operation (keyhole surgery),the results brought back alot of internal problems the other scans etc had missed.
have you had a specialist appointment with someone who specialises in knees??
doctors know the basics of things but i would try and get a referal to a specialist in knees to get a better and more indepth opinion.

No cannot tell what you have done - however it is very important to establish what is wrong - would suggest a second opinion is required - and would suggest that you see an Orthopaedic Consultant ASAP.

Following any knee injury makes it difficult to kneel down ( and get up)
