Try some alternative therapies.. and I don't mean like people adjusting your aura!  I mean like Massage therapy or chiropractic or osteopathy.    Sometimes your bodies need help when dealing with a long term injury.  Massage therapy isn't just for rich people relax. Many massage therapists are trained to deal with the damage our body suffers from limping and such.

Lidoderm patches on your back and hip and knee may work to numb the areas enough.  There is also aqua therapy that will help you relax and strengthen your knee back and hips.

Thanks for the advice. Have had osteopathy in past for S.I. joint and also some acupuncture.
Been having regular saunas to try and help muscles relax but it's only short term relief as soon as stand and start walking( or should i say limping) everything stiffens and aching starts up again.
