I have been back at work part time after having my proximal realignment surgery. I am a school based speech language pathologist. When I first went back, I wore a Breg PTO knee brace. One of the preschool disabled students had heard that I had surgery. He came up to me and asked if he could see the "missing leg." He obviously thought that surgery means that something is removed. I explained that my knee is still there. He wanted to see it so I told him that I am wearing a brace that is like a big big bandaid. I rolled up my pants leg so he could see the brace. He was fascinated. The teacher and I both were rolling after that.
