About 3 months ago I had knee surgery on what my OS thought would be another meniscal tear. It turned out to be a bunch of scar tissue. He said recovery should take about a month, and that I should be able to return to normal. About 3 weeks after the surgery, I started to get a slightly annoying stabbing pain in one area of my knee. My OS said with increased motion, ect. it should start to go away. Each week since, my motion has improved but my pain has gotten exponentially worse. It isn't constant, and when it stabs, I have no motion whatsoever. It's a burning pain sometimes, but other times its just a stab. It wakes me up at night, bothers me during lecture, when I'm walking, any time! It doesn't seem to have any rhyme or reason. I've tried laying off the exercize, and doing stretches to help get the motion back (and I'm almost there!), but I still can't move it when it hurts. The pain got so bad last week, that I had to go to the emergency room. I have everyone confused, but my OS keeps insisting that the pain should go away, and that its normal. He wants me to wait two months, but with the pain this bad, I don't think I can last another week without help! Any clues as to what would be causing this? I'm at the end of my rope..
thank yoU!!!
