Amorphous signal in posterior horn of medial meniscus, anyone know what that means? And what it might signify.
1997 Scope RK
2002 LR RK
2002 Scope and hematoma evac RK

May 06 Fall from Horse, partial ACL tear and meniscus injury, Tibial plateau injury
2007 Scope, Plica Excision and Debride LK
2009/2010- Possibly Ankylosing Spondylitis?

I believe it means a possible tear in the posterior horn of the meniscus - think it is MRI terminology - have you had your mri scan yet - is that what was reported? - I would assume if that is the case then your OS would trim or repair it - but I am no doctor.

hope that was of help?  might be worth googleing it - if you can make sense of this medical jargon!

Thanks Anja I did google it and since it says it isn't the articular surfaces is sounds like it is an injury but maybe not a tear... sigh..

My Os wanted to scope it, but since I fired him.. . I'll have to wait and see what my new Os has to say.
