Restricted Range of Motion!!!
« on: January 09, 2007, 08:46:34 PM »
I had my 3 month follow-up with the fracture clinic today where I was told that probably the best I will get at the end of physio, etc. is a range of motion between 100 - 110 degrees.  I was wondering if that sounds reasonable to people or if anyone knows what kind of restrictions I would have with that restricted ROM.  My other question is if there are other alternatives to help ie surgery, artroscopy, etc. I walk for a living and do a lot of driving.  110 just doesn't sound good enough to me and I don't want to give up if I have any other options - looking for some suggestions, answers, help...

What exactly happened to your knee? I broke my knee cap and ripped all of the tendons and ligaments. I am in therapy since August, my rom is 97-99 degrees, they are shooting for 125-135. In April I will have the hardware removed and the rom should go from there. Everyone is different and it takes some longer than others.
