Complete patella replacement?
« on: December 06, 2006, 07:54:50 PM »
Hello,

Does anyone know of a procedure whereby the entire patella is replaced? -- not the tendons, the patella itself.  I've been researching and unable to find anything.  I have had a failed TKR, patella baja and arthrofibrosis.

Thank you for your help.

I don't seem to know how to use this site.  I find it very complicated. :'(  My arthrofibrosis is getting worse and I can't seem to connect here. Don't know what to do.  Anyone?

I'm a little confused. If you've had a TKR then your patella has already been replaced. I don't know for certain but I would think they could do a revision and just replace the patella if it was necessary.
